Areas of Use

  • For application to new untreated plywood boards. For interior and exterior use.
  • For application to any other new untreated wooden surfaces. For interior and exterior use.
  • For application to any masonry and concrete substrates as a stabilising solution. For interior and exterior use.
  • For the effective blocking of various stains associated with plywood boards (PTC Stain BLocking Primer).
  • For the attachment of glass fibre jointing tape to any of the above surfaces (PTC Tape Adhesive).

Overview

  • Contains the most up to date, effective and environmentally friendly mould and algae resisters. Laboratory tested against a large range of fungus, algae and spores.
  • Almost any kind of top coat may be used, but primarily PTC Texture Finish.
  • Will not crack or craze during the movement of the substrates caused by normal expansion and contraction.
  • PTC Tape Adhesive is supplied in two sizes to suit all needs ie. 5 litre and 10 litre.
  • PTC Primers are supplied in three sizes to suit all needs ie. 5 litre, 10 litre and 20 litre.
  • Ready to use (may need any surface water stirring in - caused by long storage).
  • Cleaning of equipment is as simple as rinsing with clean tap water while still wet.
  • Supplied normally in white or beige but can be manufactured in almost any other colour (subject to our minimum order restrictions).

Application
Recommended application is by the use of a PTC Long Pile Roller, but may be brushed (small areas only) or sprayed.
PTC Tape Adhesive should be applied using a brush or small roller.

Coverage: 4 to 6m² per litre
Surface dry:
2 to 6 hours
Thorough dry: 24 hours

Drying times are given only as a guide, as the atmospheric temperature and humidity will accelerate or retard the drying process.

Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C.
Do not apply externally if there is a possibility of frost or heavy rain.

Shelf Life
When supplied in 5 litre or 10 litre unlined pails - 12 to 24 months.
When supplied in 20 litre lined pails - up to 3 years.
Please note that there may be some separation after a period of time. This is perfectly normal and only requires stirring in.

  • Do not store in direct sunlight
  • Protect from frost
  • Do not store in plain metal tins
  • Store at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C

Substrate Preparation

  • All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from any loose or flaking material.
  • All fixing screws/nails should be galvanised, but as an extra precaution they should be painted over with an oil based metal primer (this is important as it will prevent rust spots at a later stage).
